One of my favourite places to spend time is by the beach in Littlehampton, where the Beach Hotel books are set, and where I was brought up.
COMPETITION CLOSING DATE EXTENDED TO MONDAY 2ND DECEMBER, 6PM Good luck!
Can true love win the day?
Hetty Affleck is working as a maid at the prestigious Beach Hotel in Littlehampton. Her beau, Lorcan, is away at war and has recently stopped replying to her letters but she is determined to keep her spirits up. When she meets wealthy shipbuilder's son Victor Perryman, they pass the time of day and they both feel a connection but she can't allow herself to think anything more of it - not only does she have Lorcan to think of, but she and Victor are divided by wealth and class.
Yet they meet again and Hetty is charmed and intrigued by Victor and his openness towards her. It becomes harder to ignore the attachment growing between them.
When Lorcan comes back on leave, Hetty is forced to face her true feelings. Who does she really love, and can that love conquer everything in its path?
Love and Loss at the Beach Hotel is out in paperback, as an ebook and in audio.

Subscribed I love to be on the beach at Margate in Kent that's where we spent loads of holidays when I was young and I've took my children there as well now to continue the family time there
Subscribed and I love spending time on Kaanapali Beach in Maui, Hawaii! Give a a chair, sun hat, fruity drink and a book and I'm happy happy! ❤️
One of my favourite places is Newark as some of my mother's family lived there and my sister and I spent many holidays with our relations over the years - usually twice a year, until they died and the daughter moved in to sheltered housing. It's a lovely area and we usually had day trips to Lincoln and Nottingham while we were there and twice to Southwell. Miss those days and the family not being there but have a lot of happy memories of those years.
My favourite place is, and always has been, Little Bookham in Surrey, the village where I was born and lived until I moved to Sussex. The nearby shops in Great Bookham have hardly changed and people in the shops are so friendly. I try and make a very nostalgic visit once a year..
One of my favourite places to spend time is on my balcony at Beach Crescent ( where the original Beach Hotel was ) drinking a glass of wine and looking out to sea
